Amy and Ryan were married at the Hyatt in Los Cabos Mexico. It was an absolute fabulous hotel – the Hyatt recently took over the property and the improvements they made were incredible! I was lucky enough to spend the week with my wonderful second photographer, Sofia from Sofia Katherine Photography who is based in Calgary. Sofia and I got to spend a relaxing weekend with the most chill and fun wedding group. It was also a bonus that the hotel was nearly EMPTY. I’m talking there were maybe 60 people in this entire hotel which meant we got to know the wait staff, and the group really well. I would truly recommend Los Cabos to all brides, especially for those of you who aren’t big fans of humidity.
Amy and Ryan had their engagement photos in the winter to contrast the wedding day. With the Sea of Cortez as the background, Amy and Ryan said their vows (officiated by Amy’s Dad, how cool is that?) in front of an intimate group of close family and friends. There were many tears shed that day. It is always special to me to photograph weddings, because I love seeing two people, who have given their hearts away share such a special moment. Ryan and Amy share a special bond, and you can tell just by the way these two look at one another. Both of theirs eyes sparkled the entire day. The images were so easy to capture because all you had to do was ask them to be together; to love one another.
After a brief rain shower (which is not common in Cabo let me tell you that..) we were rewarded with the most jaw-dropping sun set. Congratulations Amy and Ryan, I wish you the very best!!
