Chelsea and Paul were married at the Delta Hotel atop of Sun Peaks Ski Resort right outside of Kamloops British Columbia. Now I have visited and skied Sun Peaks in the winter, but never have I been there in the summer. The vibe and atmosphere was absolutely chill and relaxing which matched the personalities of this couple perfectly. They’re a laid back couple who love to giggle, joke around and just have fun.
I was lucky enough to meet Paul and Chelsea for the first time the previous summer in Vancouver, and it seemed like literally forever until their wedding day. The mountains will always hold a special place in my heart, so getting to photograph such an easy going couple, in such a beautiful spot meant for a very special wedding day.
With a colour palette of pastels and light grey, Chelsea and Paul said their I do’s on the patio over looking the village and mountains. Quickly after we grabbed some lift passes and jumped the ski lift up to the top of the mountain. Might I add, it was a strange sensation to look down and see green grass, as opposed to snow and bumps. It was a whole new world to be photographing on top of a mountain.
Thank you Chelsea and Paul for battling all the bugs, sitting in weird mossy grass and sweating it out all day. You guys were so fun to work with, and we had an absolute blast. It was so hard to narrow down your blog post to just a few images! Wishing you both all the very best.
