I remember booking Greg and Candace’s wedding so long ago, so when it was actually the day of it was hard to believe. I love meeting my new clients, hearing about their days and seeing the excitement on their faces. The next step is the engagement session where I get to hear about the details and how stressed out they’re becoming. As much as I love shooting weddings, I am always a little sad inside that their big day is finally here, and the anticipation of working with them is gone. I am so lucky to say though that many of my wedding clients remain friends and they are people I love to talk to, and reminisce about their photos.
Candace and Greg treated us like family friend from the moment we arrived at the hotel. I will never forget walking into the hotel room and a bridesmaid shouts at Candace ‘Candace your photographer just got published, you should probably congratulate her!” and everyone honestly did, then proceeded to tell me they loved my work – and they all knew me by name? I felt like they all just gave me a massive hug and welcome to their group. There is no greater feeling, so I must thank all of you ladies so much! It was so nice to see you again as well Amy! Candace when you came and said hello, your hair in a knot on top of your head, rocking the sweat-shorts and a zip up, you were just as beautiful with your wedding dress on and hair completely styled. You radiate natural beauty and a heart of gold and I think everyone who is around you truly recognizes it.
Greg you were just down right handsome. I loved how you allowed us to incorporate your love of music and song into your engagement photos – it really helped me get to know you. I still wish you would’ve told me you had to go pee instead of painfully holding it in – but as Candace and I both agreed, it certainly helped you ‘smize’ during your photos. Sorry Greg, just had to.
It was a beautiful day, so incredibly hot out but with a mixture of Irish tradition and family love the day went off without a hitch. It was so hard to pick just a few photos to share with you all, as I could have posted dozens, literally. Thank you again to everyone who made us feel loved and welcome. Greg and Candace enjoy Ireland and wishing you both nothing but happiness.
