We headed down to Cancun in May to photograph this absolute wonderful couple. When I first met Melanie I instantly fell in love with her. This girl has a heart of gold, and is truly so kind. Even on her wedding day she was more worried about helping other people get ready than herself. She was cool and calm, nothing seemed to phase her. Greg is the kind of guy who can just make you laugh until your stomach hurts, together Melanie and Greg form a well balanced couple that you just enjoy being around. Melanie is also a fellow photographer, so it felt like the pressure was on, but lets be honest, Melanie is stunning and Greg is so very handsome, so they both made our jobs that much easier.
They were married at the Princess in the Mayan Riviera, a resort which we have photographed before. They had their reception in this amazing little area, called the ‘Chill Out’ area, and it truly reminded me so much of Thailand and made me want to go back to Thailand SO BAD! (Anyone want to take me…?). It was beautiful. Greg and Melanie strived for a reception that was more relaxed, less formal and was just an evening of drinks and laughs celebrating their big day – it was also Cinco de Mayo so the party was on. Melanie’s attention to detail made this wedding an absolute DREAM. Ladies who are planning destination weddings – you don’t have to sacrifice the details because you’re going abroad. Melanie and Greg literally drove to a beach to find drift wood for their tables.
Melanie you made such a beautiful bride – thank you from the bottom of my heart for having us be there. I knew from the minute I met you that you were someone special. I can not wait to work with you again. I’m so very happy for you.
