nadine + designs by Serendipity | edmonton wedding photography |

I had this vision – and for anyone who knows me when I have an idea I have to do it to the T. I don’t hold back or cut corners. I will hold off shooting concepts until I find the model that will encompass exactly what I was after.

Bring in Nadine. I had seen her work before, and after throwing her an email with my ‘vision’ she was on board. I went to my makeup artist, who in my opinion, is a creative genius and said ‘Ashly, I have this idea, what do you think?’, she too was on board. The day of the shoot it was cold, and windy and miserable. You would never have known it. Nadine powered through have a giant beam of light from our reflector in her face, a beautiful gown supplied by Serendipity had to be clipped on her, and wind that made her tear up. /

The result? Easily my favourite session I have yet to ever photograph. It is everything I wanted to force myself to do. I shot at 12 noon to battle light, I wanted to force myself to use shadows and make them work for my photos, I wanted to try and fill my frame every single time I shot, I wanted to focus on the clothing as if I were trying to sell it, I wanted to showcase the makeup, but also the amazing location we were in. Needless to say I had a lot of ‘to-dos’ on this shoot, and I could NOT be any happier with these photos!

Amazing work as usual Becky! Her makeup is absolutely stunning! It doesn’t even look real!! I was looking at the thumbnail on facebook and HAD to come to your site to have a closer look! Your mak-up artist is definitely talented!!! I am Ashton Kennedy’s cousin….and I know if you were in PEI she would be getting you to do her wedding photos! You do an amazing job at not only capturing your models personality, but you seem to give such an amazing confidence too! I love to follow your work…it is wonderful, creative and inspiring!!

Thanks for sharing your work!! If I lived closer I would definitely be signing up for your workshops…and getting you to do some photos for me! I do have a very talented friend, Laurie Magill, owner of Studio 1948 and she, like you, inspires me with every session she shares!!
