The first time I met Cheryl I was a little taken back – I had never met such a determined, perky and upbeat woman before in my life. This woman had goals – and one of them was marrying Dale (Daryl on the wedding day apparently). She told me how photos were one of the most important parts to her (honestly, music to my ears) and she was so excited to work with me. Cheryl booked to be one of my first brides in 2011 and it seemed like the time between their engagement session and wedding just flew by. These two are amazing and so fun. Cheryl you have a heart of gold and I felt so blessed to be apart of your day. Dale, when you shed a tear or two for your beautiful new bride it showed us all how much you really loved her – and it was honestly such a beautiful day.
Dale and Cheryl were married in Edmonton at Convocation Hall at the University of Alberta. The University has such amazing grounds and we managed to spend about 4 hours taking photos. I think this was the first time I have ever looked at a bride and said, “okay, I think I am done”. I shot over 32gb of images for their wedding formals – which is normally what I shoot for a full day..and their wedding was only a partial day. Between blooming cherry blossom trees and a wall covered in flyers which I have been eyeing for 6 months – needless to say narrowing down just a few images was tough.
Congratulations to Cheryl and Dale – wishing you both years of happiness while doing the safety dance.
