open season | banff engagement photographer |

After a rough start to the day and a long extended trip out to Lake Louise we ended up being about 3 hours behind on schedule and there was another couple waiting to work with us, the beautiful April and handsome Josh. It only took us an hour to get off the mountain, no big deal right? 1 hour to go 2km? Yeah don’t get me started. Josh and April also came down from Edmonton to score some beautiful photos in the mountains. The next time I see this couple we will be playing in Mexico under the warm sun.

If I can say one thing, the delayed shoot time was so worth it. Despite the elk who stalked us the entire shoot we were blessed with some beautiful light and it was just romantic and serene. These two were so into each other and bursting at the seems with love. It made a long day seem so short, and it reminded me of why I love my job. I spent a full day with people who drove down to Banff just to work with us, I was in the mountains; my favourite place on earth. I felt so lucky that day and I still do today.

These shots truthfully are some of my favourite engagement photos.

These are wonderful photos, I can’t wait to see the rest of the shoot. Both April and Josh looks so awesome…but I am a little bias since Josh is my son!
