Waiting for Phil and Vanessa’s day to arrive was like waiting for Christmas! Vanessa and Phil had created a beautiful vintage filled day, with glam aspects – and it was so stunning! Vanessa is a fellow photographer, so it is always such an honour when someone in your circle trusts you with one of their important life moments.
The love between these two was so easy to capture. I loved how Vanessa is so free with her emotions, and was ear to ear smiles and joy the entire day. Phil usually quiet, was, if I can say it – just a bit bubbly. I had such a great time with this wedding party. We waited for a beautiful location in Edmonton. I wish these blossoms were out year round, but sadly they aren’t – which also makes them so magical. I asked Vanessa the morning of her wedding if it was alright to shoot there for her formals, and she jumped up and down so excited. She told me how her back tattoo was of the cherry blossom trees, and that it was perfect.
It was one of the most memorable days for me as a photographer, because not too often does a bride cry when she sees the back of your camera.
Wishing you all the best Phil and Vanessa!
